Online auctions are a great way to make some extra money and promote your web site. eBay is a perfect example. Sellers can list an assortment of items with images. If you have a product you can continually repeat the ad. Not only will you profit from direct sales but if you place links to your web site with your ad you will increase traffic to your site.

Instead of typing the product info into ebays auction page. I design my eBay ads on my web design program ( I use Microsoft’s Front Page). Any design program will work. The benefit is that you can copy and paste the HTML code directly into eBay. Not only will this save a bit of time but your ad can include images, background design and video without having to upload images to eBay. Basically ads will look better and are just easier to manage.

In the past we could market ebooks on eBay, with excellent results. eBay’s new policy prohibits downloadable products from the auction. Ebooks can still be marketed on ebay, but now you will have to download them onto a CD and ship the CD to the auction winner. Another idea would be to have your ebook printed into a actually soft cover book. There are print on demand companies where this can be done at no cost. You can market the printed version of the book on eBay. Whenever an ebay auction ends with a sale you just order the book and have it sent directly from the printer to your ebay customer.
