Affiliate programs are
an excellent way to enhance or supplement a
web site’s earning
potential. Listed below are a variety of Affiliate programs. You
should search these sites for associated products to market on your
site. Most are set up so that you earn a commission for each item
sold. I also included links to a few of my own pages which have
affiliate adds. You are invited to click around and see for yourself
how a few well placed affiliate ads can enhance your site while
providing another separate profit center.

Promote and sell
your own products or promote other products and receive a
commission on each sale which you generate. Click Bank is a
great affiliate program. You can create your own digital
product or sell products created by others. Either way its a
win win situation. For example if you author your own ebook
you can post it on click bank. Affiliates will then market
your ebook on their web sites for a commission that you set.
If your not that creative you can choose from a huge
assortment of downloadable products and build ads for them on
your own web site. You will earn a commission, usually 50-75%
of each item sold. Better yet you can do both. Check out the
link listed below. This is the click bank landing page for two
Home Security ebooks I authored. Basically, anyone with a web
site can sign up as a click bank affiliate and sell either or
both of these books. My affiliates earn 70% profit for each
book sold. Note the Google Adsence ad on the same page.

product information and promote this book on their own web site.
Click bank affiliates usually earn 50%- 70% per sale.

AllPosters is
another excellent affiliate program which can be used by
almost all webmasters. You can sell posters and art work on
your website, and earn 25% commission on each poster sold. Not
only can you add a variety of product links, banners and
search button links, but as an affiliate you can also use
images from AllPosters to enhance your web site. AllPosters
has a huge assortment of art available so its easy to find
affiliated art work to promote. Affiliate products can be
linked to directly or affiliates can add search buttons so
their viewers can search for any subject. I have used many of
their posters as images on my web pages and also sell the same
art posters to my customers.

Amazon.com
Amazon has an unique affiliate program called Amazon
Associates. Web masters can earn up to 15% commission on a
wide variety of products. Just visit Amazon.com and click
on the Join Associates link at the bottom of the main
page. Although Amazon Associates are best known for its
affiliate book program I would strongly suggest spending
some time on this site and finding a few non book
products. What I have done on several of my sites is to
create a “suggested reading” page. That page has a google
PPC ad and an assortment of topic related affiliate books
from Amazon. The page is simple to produce and
consistently produces profit. In addition, I have been
able to capitalize on some other higher retail price
products that Amazon offers like cameras. Below are a few
hints for Amazon Associates:
1) When setting up your amazon Associate program. Make
sure you select direct deposit so you avoid the payment
processing fee.
2) Your web site should be up and running before you
register, as Amazon will review the site manually before
approval.
3) When its time to start building links add the Link
Builder header to the top of Amazon’s page. This will make
it extremely easy to search for products and build links
with your affiliate ID already built in. See amazon’s
instructions for more information.
4) Amazon also
offers an easy to built online store. Just sign in as an
affiliate and click on aStore. You can create your own
pages filled with Amazon's affiliate products. The aStore
also allows you to change background and text to match the
